Most hosiery manufacturers follow the standard density scheme of 20 – 40 – 70 DEN, where DEN stands for denier (from Latin denarius), a non-system unit of linear density for fibers or threads, meaning the ratio of their mass to length. 1 denier = 1 gram per 9 kilometers.

We took the weaving technique used in tights and applied it to the material of a ring. The result is a very intimate piece of jewelry.
Lingerie or Jewelry?
Even before the idea of creating a ring inspired by women’s stockings came to us, our creative director had gone through hundreds of advertising campaigns for women’s tights and stockings—at first, out of pure curiosity.
“There’s a distinct visual language in tights packaging, the way they are photographed, and so on. I found it incredibly captivating and felt inspired to create a similar advertising campaign.”

For this campaign, I initially designed an anklet bracelet, but I wasn’t satisfied with it. The idea to create a ring with a tights-like structure came naturally.

The minimalist collection without lace was named 40 DEN, while the variations with blooming lace were given the fitting name Blossoming Nylons.
